Services for Edgar Risner, age 83, of Waynesboro, TN will be Sunday, December 24, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 23, 2006 from 5 pm to 7 pm and Sunday, December 24, 2006 from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
He died at his home on Friday, December 22, 2006 after an extended illness.
Mr. Risner, a native of Waynesboro, TN, was retired from Samsonite, was a member of the VFW, and was a United States Army veteran of WWII. He was a son of the late Roy and Viola Long Risner.
Survivors, daughters, Barbara Houston, Waynesboro, TN, Karen Brown, Columbia, TN, son, Eddie Allen Risner, Buchanan, TN, sisters, Geneva Byrd and Opal Skelton, Waynesboro, TN, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, companion, Faye Todd, Waynesboro, TN, nieces and nephews.
