Ed Pipes was born on January 6, 1945, the son of the late Buster Leo William Edgar Pipes and Robbie Inez Franks Pipes. On June 5, 1965, he married Sherry Louise Weaver, who preceded him in death on October 13, 1994. Ed departed this life on May 9, 2017, at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 3 days.
Ed lived in Hardin County most of his life, where he worked for both the City of Savannah and Davis Brothers Concrete. He attended Bible Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing, raising chickens, ducks, and any other animal that needed a home.
Ed is survived by his daughters, Tammy Yarbrough and husband Tommy and Shelia White, both of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Douglas Edward Pipes and wife Tonya of Brandon, Mississippi and David Pipes of Savannah, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Along with his wife and parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sons, Derrick and Daniel Pipes.
