Ed Franks

Ed Franks was born March 1, 1930 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Charles Hassell and Alice White Franks.On April 17, 1981, he was united in marriage to Geraldine A. Franks.Mr. Franks was a retired self-employed plumber and electrician. He attended the Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His work was his only hobby. He was able to work until age 73. He loved helping people.He departed this life on December 7, 2006 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of Age 76 Years, 9 Months, 6 Days. Mr. Franks is survived by his wife, Geraldine A. Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; three daughters, Jo Evelyn Harbin of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee, Patricia Jean Todd and Tammy Jane Herrington both of Savannah, Tennessee; two sisters, Grace Shelby and Margie Briley both of Savannah, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Charles Cook, Allison Todd, Amber Whitten, Brinn Roten, Candra Smith, Scotty Harbin and Sean Helton and three great grandchildren, Xander Todd, Hayden Smith and Alex Kerby.In addition to his parents, Mr. Franks was preceded in death by a daughter, Portia Diane Helton, two sons, Harold Wayne Franks and Charles Edward Franks, three sisters Helen Matlock, Norma Clyde Tee Franks, Mae Harris and two brothers, Ulvie Franks and Vondell Franks.
