Earnest Pate, age 74 of Waynesboro, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Riverton, Alabama to the late Lewis Reeves Pate and Annie Malone Pate. Mr. Pate was retired from International Harvester as a mechanic.
He had been a resident of Wayne County sine 1984. His remains were cremated.
Survivors include daughters, Marilyn Horner of Bellevue, Iowa and Cathy Benton of Lost Nation, Iowa; sons; Michael Pate and Robert Pate both of Davenport, Iowa, and Roger Pate of Bettendorf, Iowa, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a brother, Billy Pate of Waynesboro, TN
