Earline Troutt

Earline Shearin Troutt was born January 6, 1924 to James Earl Shearin and Verdna Gatewood Shearin. She passed away Monday morning, January 6, 2013.



A lifelong resident of Hardeman County, she was the widow of Jack Troutt who died March 10, 2000. She was an active member of Bolivar First Baptist Church's Dorcas Sunday School class, the ACTS Mission Group, and was an Active General Officer. She was a former volunteer for Western State Youth Group, Nat T. Winston Developmental Center and Pine Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and served as a registrar for several years for the Hardeman County Election Commission. She graduated from Central High School in Bolivar in 1942 and worked with her parents in their store before their retirement in 1967. She enjoyed working on the farm beside her husband raising cattle as well as sewing, gardening and cooking for her family.



Survivors include a daughter, Jackie T. Eastham and husband Boyd of Jackson; a son, Dr. William E. Troutt and wife Carole of Memphis; three grandchildren, Carole Ann Troutt Schmidt and husband Timothy J. of Atlanta, Jack C. Troutt of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Joseph Boyd Eastham, III of Jackson; and one great-grandchild, John Pearson "J.P." Schmidt.



In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James David Troutt, a sister, Blanche Shearin Rush, and a niece, Marilyn Ann Rush.
