Mr. Earl Lloyd Foster, 85, of Bolivar, died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at his niece's home near Middleton.
He was born, November 7, 1920 in Rogers Springs, TN, the son of Amos and Ida Ward Foster. He married Pronettie Weaver in September, 1941. Mrs. Foster died July 30, 1989. Mr. Foster was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church near Rogers Springs, the AARP and Bolivar Senior Citizens Center. He served his country in WWII with the field artillery. He worked as a farmer, also with Bolivar Frosted Foods and the Army Depot in Memphis. He retired as shop foreman of Bolivar Wood Products after 15 years of service.
He leaves his nieces and nephews as survivors. Mr. Foster was preceded in death by four sisters, Myrtle Kizer, Dorothy Allen, Lillian Sexton and Lila Maude McKelvey; and his brother, Rex Foster.
