E. Larry JohnsonHenderson: Euclid Larry Johnson, age 71, died Friday, April 30, 2009 at Jackson General Hospital.Mr. Johnson was born and reared in Gadsden, AL, the son of the late John Samuel and Emily Grace Brown Johnson. He graduated from Gadsden High School in 1958 and entered the U. S. Army that same year and also attended college at White Sands, New Mexico while stationed there. He served two tours of duty in Germany and a tour of duty in Vietnam. After the service he made his home in Gadsden, AL and moved to West Tennessee in 1982. He worked as a recruiter for West Tennessee Business College and later worked in retail sales.He served as music director for several area Baptist churches; including Finger Baptist, New Friendship Baptist, and Gravel Hill Baptist at Ramer. He had also served churches as educational director, lay minister, and had sung in several gospel quartets. He loved Southern Gospel music.He is survived by two sons: Eric Johnson (Dawn) of Farmington, NM, Scott Johnson (Kim) of Jackson, TN and three daughters: Jennifer Zamora (Chris), April Brown, and Erin Rees (Aaron) all of Henderson, and a sister Joyce Wade of Gadsden. He also has 10 grandchildren and a very special great grandchild; Lexsis Zamora.
