E.G. Harris
was born on November 25, 1921 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Earnest M. and Flossie Smith Harris.
On September 19, 1941 he was united in marriage to the former Ozella Crotts, who preceded him in death on February 20, 1988.
Mr. Harris lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana for 32 years. While there, he worked as a feed inspector with Allied Feed Mill from 1952 until 1984.
He was a member of Crump United Pentecostal Church in Crump, Tennessee.
He departed this life on November 26, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years and 1 day.
Mr. Harris is survived by
a son, Donnie Harris of Trenton, TN;
2 daughters: Charlotte Stovall of Germany and Michelle Harville of Savannah, TN;
5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren;
and 2 brothers: R.C. Harris of Crump, TN and Nick Harris of High Point, NC.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ozella Harris; 2 daughters: Patricia and Connie Harris; and one brother, Delos Harris.
