Henderson, TN: Dwight Steven Simmons, age 66, died November 9, 2022, at his home in Henderson.
He was born in Marked Tree, AR on August 1, 1956, son of the late Clarence Deverl and Evelyn Etoile Martin Simmons.
He has been married to his wife Heather for 32 years. He was a member of the Henderson, TN congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served there for many years as the Coordinating Overseer. Steve loved life and loved people. He was kind to everyone and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife Heather of Henderson; brothers Jerrell Simmons of Hot Springs, AR, Bruce Simmons (Sally) of Marked Tree, AR, Dennis Simmons (Mary Ann) of Colbert, GA, Christ Simmons (Sheila) of Jonesboro, AR; father and mother-in-laws Stuart and Candice MacDiarmid of Henderson; sister-in-laws Heidi (Eric) Dawson, Sarah (Nick) Ellis; Molly (Justin) Sloat; brother-in-law Stuart (Stacey) MacDiarmid; nieces Dawn Ellis, Lana Simmons, Addison Ellis; Madelein MacDiarmid; and nephews Ben Simmons, Tyler Simmons, Harrison Ellis and Trent MacDiarmid.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Henderson, TN with Nick Ellis, Chris Simmons, and Jerry Hopper officiating.
