DWIGHT WALKER PAULK
Dwight Walker Paulk was born September 30, 1938 in Savannah, Tennessee the son of Clyde Walker and Zella Austin Paulk.
At the age of 17, Mr. Paulk enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for 21 years, attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer. While most of his Naval career was spent as a navigator on ballistic missile submarines, his duties later involved piloting harbor tugboats. After several years working as a commercial fisherman, he continued serving his country with the Tennessee Valley Authority and the National Park Service, where he retired. Mr. Paulk was a member of Savannah Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner.
He could always be found fishing, tending to his garden and honey bees. He was a firm believer in hard work and applied it to everything he did.
On June 12, 1981 he was united in marriage to Maude Ella Melson, who survives.
Mr. Paulk departed this life on March 10, 2016 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 10 days.
In addition to his wife, Maude of 34 years, he is survived by one son, Dwight Paulk of Savannah, Tennessee.

3 nieces, Carol, Betsy and Ramsey and 2 nephews, Mark and Jason
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Paulk.
