DWIGHT EMERSON
Henderson, TN: Dwight Allen Emerson age 57, passed away March 6, 2025, at his home.
He was born August 2, 1967, in Madison County, the son of the late Dennis Hall and Lillie Bell Parker Emerson. He went to school in Chester County and graduated from Chester County High School in 1985.
He farmed most of his life and worked for TDOT for ten years.
He was a member of the Haltom Chapel Methodist Church.
He was active the Civil War re-enactments in the 1980’s, and he appeared in the movie Glory with Denzel Washington and Matthew Broderick.
His family kept twelve different foreign exchange students over the years, and he built close relationships with several of them.
He was an animal lover and leaves behind his beloved miniature Australian Shepherd dog “Delilah”.
Dwight is survived by a daughter, Kayla Nicole Emerson of Jacks Creek, TN and his Godmother, Cornelia Hall of Henderson, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his Godfather, Conan Hall.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 11th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time on Tuesday.
