Durrell Jordan

Durrell Jordan was born March 11, 1950 in Bolivar, TN, the daughter of the late Jessie Hurst and Willie Joe Johnson Hurst.

She was united in marriage to Steward Wayne Jordan on May 4, 1968. Durrell and her husband traveled many miles together driving a big truck all over the country.

She was a kind, loving and welcoming lady with great southern hospitality. She treated everyone like family, Durrell's home was considered the gathering place for all. Her door was always open and no one left hungry. She had a warm and infectious laugh and made you feel loved when you were around her.

Durrell enjoyed riding four wheelers, poker nights at home, cooking and spending time with family, especially "her babies".

Mrs. Jordan departed this life on December 3, 2022 in Henderson, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 8 Months, 22 Days.

She is survived by her husband, Steward Wayne Jordan of Henderson, TN; children: Justin Jordan and wife Debbie of Selmer, TN, Jason Jordan and wife Tammy of Henderson, TN, Shannon Lambert and husband Brent of Selmer, TN; a brother, Lawrence Hurst of Huron, TN; a sister, Ann Palmer of New Albany, MS; four grandchildren: Alesha Jordan, Stevie Jordan, Megan Nevis and husband Brian, Jordan Flanagan and wife Mary Grace; four great grandchildren: Hayden Byrd, Averi Jordan, Taylor Nevis, Clyde Jordan.

In addition to her parents, Mrs Jordan was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Hurst; a sister, Barbara Bartholomew; a grandchild, Jesse Cole Jordan.
