Dumont A. Davis

Dumont Daviswas born in Clifton, Tennessee on February 16, 1918 the son of the late Joe and Icie Christian Davis.Mr. Davis retired from Preston Carroll Construction Company of Clifton, Tennessee. He was a World War II Army Veteran, past President of the American Legion of Savannah, Tennessee and a member of the Mt. Carmel Methodist Church of Clifton, Tennessee.Mr. Davis departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the age of 92 years, 1 month, 15 days.Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Michael Davis of Clifton, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Linda Davis Hix and husband Wayne of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Deirdre Davis-McCollum and husband Frank of Tega Cay, South Carolina; 5 grandchildren, Amelia Davis, Jarrod Hix, Cameron Hix, Allison Hix, and Piper Pliska; 1 great granddaughter.In addition to his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Earl and Glen Davis.
