Dr. Robert L. Burton

DR. ROBERT L. BURTONwas born in Akron, Ohio on December 28, 1916 the son of the late Robert Lawrence and Vivian Butts Burton. Dr. Burton was united in marriage to Lillie Hannah Copeland, who preceded her husband in death on October 28, 2008 after 66 years of marriage.Dr. Burton was a retired medical doctor. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and while serving his country he obtained rank of Colonel. Dr. Burton was very dedicated to his profession, he loved being a doctor and helping his fellow man. Everyone loved him. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his family. Dr. Burton was a member of Faith Church in Park Forrest, Illinois.Dr. Burton departed this life on December 11, 2010 in Olive Hill, Tennessee at the age of 93 years, 11 months and 13 days.He is survived by one son, Ronald Anthony Burton of Olive Hill, Tennesseeone grandchild, Adam Lawrence BurtonIn addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Robert Lawrence Burton, III and one grandchild, Rachel Burton.
