Doyle Ray Bennett

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Doyle Ray Bennett, age 65, of Savannah, TN, who left us on January 19, 2025. He was born on September 16, 1959, in Memphis, TN, he was the son of the late Doyle Burton and Wilma Gene Knight Bennett.

Doyle found joy and purpose in his marriage to Carol Jean Oldham, which brought him great happiness and companionship since their union on May 12, 1999. As a dedicated farmer, Doyle poured his love into his work, nurturing the land and building a life filled with hard work and perseverance.

In his leisure time, Doyle found solace in watching old western movies and listening to gospel music, passions that reflected his warm-hearted nature and spiritual commitment. Above all, his greatest love was reserved for God and his family, who were the cornerstones of his life.

Though he will be deeply missed, Doyle's spirit and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and unwavering love.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Bennett of Savannah, TN; children, Ashley Jean Lewis of Las Vegas, NV, and Nathen Doyle Bennett (Sara Ruth) of Savannah, TN; siblings, Peggy Ellison, James Bennett, Debbie Bennett, Kathy Bennett, and Susie Bennett; and 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle Burton and Wilma Gene Knight Bennett.
