Douglas J. Roddy

Douglas J. Roddywas born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 3, 1931 the son of the late Walter B. and Ruth Harris Roddy.On January 1, 1955 he was united in marriage to Agnes Nell Collins, who preceded him in death on September 26, 2005.Mr. Roddy was an Army Veteran, serving two tours in the Korean War. He was a contract administrator for the US Government. He was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ.Mr. Roddy departed this life on February 9, 2008 at the age of 76 years, 5 months, 6 days.He is survived by 3 daughters: Tammy Roddy Barnett and her husband Bobby of Crump, Tennessee, Trudie McCormick Harris of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Janell McCormick Musgrave and her husband Frank of Smyrna, Tennessee; 2 brothers: Donald Roddy of Athens, Alabama, Charles Edward Collins of Huntsville, Alabama; 2 grandchildren: Derek Vickery and Skylar Barnett; 1 great-grandchild: Kenneth Vickery.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: David Collins.
