Douglas (Bud) Carrwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 17, 1919 the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Bess Morrow Carr.On August 17, 1945 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Shelby, who survives.Mr. Carr was a life long resident of Hardin County. He enjoyed many things: hunting, raising Beagles, gardening, his neighbors, family, fishing trips down Indian Creek and his church, Robertson Chapel United Methodist. He was known for always having a smile on his face and depending on "TheLittleWhiteHairedLady" for many things. Mr. Carr worked as a Right-of-Way Purchaser for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and as a cattle farmer. Mr. Carr departed this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the age of 89 years, 2 months, 9 days.In addition to his wife, Mr. Carr is survived by his daughter, Donna Meadows and her husband Joe of Gainesville, Georgia; a grandson, Andrew Meadows and his wife Amanda Wrona Meadows.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rubye Webb.
