HENDERSON, TN; Doug Johnson, II of Beech Bluff, age 40, passed away on June 21, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Doug was born in Jackson, TN on July 26, 1978, the son of Douglas Allen and Donna Lee Gaffney Johnson. He grew up in the Sweetlips Community of Chester County and was a 1996 graduate of Chester County High School. Upon graduation, he served four years in the Tennessee National Guard. He worked in Jackson for King Tire and then Best One Tire as a diesel mechanic for several years. He married Cindy Aldridge on March 13, 2004 and they have been married for 15 years. Doug started his own lawn care business in 2016, “Mow For Less.”
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Johnson; his parents, Douglas and Donna Johnson; one sister, Sherrell Bostic; and a nephew, Matthew Bolduc.
Doug was kind and considerate of the feelings of others; he would help whoever was in need. He was a strong and hardworking man who loved his country. He was a loving husband and a son to be proud of.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson – Crook Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mifflin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, June 24.
