Dorothy Edna (Dot) Wilson

Dorothy E. (Dot) Wilson of Waynesboro, formerly of Iron City, TN, was born July 11, 1933 in Sheffield, AL the daughter of the late Clifford Hamilton Wilson and Bessie Lee Scott. Mrs. Wilson departed this life on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 11 Months, 20 Days. She was a retired factory worker and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ. She was married to James Orville Wilson January 3, 1950 and he preceded her in death July 22, 2011.

She is survived by two sisters, Naomi Pigg of Murray, KY and Patricia Wey of Mt. Juliet, TN, nieces and nephews, and a special friend Ellen Stults of Iron City, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Wilson and a sister, Thelma Diviney.

Services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Sonny Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Jody Cypert, Ezelle Stults, Jake Smith, Christian Harper, Larry Miller, and Chris Harper.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
