Dorothy Virginia Turnbo

Dorothy Virginia Turnbo of Hohenwald, formerly of Clifton, TN was born November 8, 1925 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late Kennie L. and Mary Elmer Boyd Turnbow. Mrs. Turnbo departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at her home in Hohenwald, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days. She was united in marriage to Howard Edsel Turnbo. He preceded her in death November 10, 1996. She was retired from Clifton Contracting Co. and was a member of Beech Creek Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons, James Allen Turnbo and wife Angie and Terry Lynn Turnbo both of Columbia, TN, a daughter, Linda Gayle Turnbo Isbell and husband Claude of Hohenwald, TN, nine grandchildren, Randal Keith Brown, Kearstin Isbell, Alicia Gay Brown Anglin, Chelsea Turnbo Martin, Colton Turnbo, Rodney Christopher Brown, Chaney Ryan Turnbo, Bucky Isbell, John Isbell, eleven great grandchildren, Kyle, Macy, Eliana, Ericka, Colby, Korbin, Gaverial, Mya, Graham, Alexis, Amanda, a brother, John Thomas Turnbow and wife Arnell of Waynesboro, TN, two sisters, Delia Collins and husband C.C. of Hohenwald, TN and Betty Lineberry and husband Leonard of Clifton, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Turnbo was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Lee Turnbow and a sister, Clara Marie Bunch.

Services will be Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Randal Keith Brown, Rodney Christopher Brown Colton Turnbo, John Isbell, Bucky Isbel, and Steve Anglin, honorary pallbearers are Kyle Anglin, Colby Anglin, Graham Anglin, Gaverial Brown, and Korbin Brown..

Visitation will be Friday from 4:30-9:oo PM and Saturday from 8:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
