Dorothy Lee Tedford was born October 2, 1924 in Stantonville, Tennessee the daughter of the late William Alfred and Fay Ella Christopher Davis.
Ms. Tedford was retired from the food service department at Tri-County nursing home, member of the Mt. Vinson Methodist church and she
enjoyed quilting, cooking for her family, gardening, canning and her flowers.
Ms. Tedford departed this life on July 11, 2007 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 9 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Nadine Tedford of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Janet Tuberville and husband Bobby of Savannah, Tennessee; three sons, Ronald Tedford of Adamsville, Tennessee, David Tedford and wife Marcia of Savannah, Tennessee, and Steve Tedford and wife Ginny of Lexington, North Carolina; five sisters, Marylene Kopp of Adamsville, Tennessee, Peggy Lard and husband Gene of Adamsville, Tennessee, Margaret Scott of Selmer, Tennessee, Betty Duck and husband Thomas of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, and Shelby Kennedy and husband Gerald of Ramer, Tennessee; five grandchildern, Jana McBride of Selmer, Tennessee, Amanda Farrah of Gretna, Nebraska, Misty Massey of Iuka, Mississippi, Allison Detty of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Jason Tedford of Knoxville, Tennessee and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Tedford was preceded in death by daughter, Cecila Gayle Tedford; an infant son; sister, Virginia Ruth Davis; grand daughter, Amy Diane Ingle Surratt, and great grand daughter, Kaitlin Waddell.
