Dorothy Aletta Tanner was born on November 30, 1935 in Hayti, Missouri, the daughter of the late James Grady and Helen Jean Price Tanner.
Dorothy attended Love & Truth Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She enjoyed sewing, taking pictures, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy Aletta Tanner departed this life on February 12, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 13 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Crotts and her husband Chris of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sheena Carlisle and her husband Jay and Christopher "Bubba" Crotts; great grandchildren, Sam Tanner, Ben White, Ady White, Carson Stricklin, Jaxon Crotts, and Gracelyn Crotts; special nephew, Danny Benson of Savannah, Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Ann Tanner, Wanda Sue Benson, Lynda Faye Murchison, and Janice "Mickey" Sanford.
