Dorothy Francine Ashe Russell was born October 5, 1936 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Duncan McCallum Ashe and Vera Elizabeth Channell Ashe.
She was united in marriage to Robert E. McCall Russell on September 4, 1953.
Mrs. Russell worked in the fitting department for eleven years at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer. She had also worked at the Garment factory in Jackson, the McNairy County Board of Education and General Electric in Selmer. She was a member of the Refuge church of Christ in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. She enjoyed gardening, reading, roses, and loved her chickens and turkeys.
Mrs. Russell departed this life on December 31, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 75 Years, 2 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert E. McCall Russell of Bethel Springs, TN; two daughters, Bonnie Russell Plunk of Adamsville, TN, Diann Russell Harrison of Nashville, TN; a son, Robert Jeff Russell and wife Susie of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, Herbert Ashe of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren, Wes Harrison and wife Sarah of Selmer, TN, Christa Harrison of Nashville, TN, Angie Plunk Frazier of Adamsville, TN, Tiffany Russell Ellis and husband Wes of Bethel Springs, TN; five great grandchildren, Bethany Leighann Frazier, Logan Kyle Frazier, John Mason Harrison, Marion Alice Harrison, and Emily Michelle Ellis; host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by a son, William David Russell; son-in-law, James Lee Plunk; a brother, Preston Ashe; a sister, Pauline Ashe McDaniel and husband, Troy McDaniel; sister-in-law, Cassie Ashe.
She was united in marriage to Robert E. McCall Russell on September 4, 1953.
