Dorothy Maxine Powell

Dorothy Maxine Dickson Powell was born October 18, 1924 in Yuma, Tennessee the daughter of the late Alonzo Dickson and Sara F Holland. She was married to John P Powell.Mr. and Mrs. Powell Operated Powell's Market in Detroit Michigan for several years. She was later employed with GM Fisher Body Limonia. She was a committee woman in the local 174 for many years.She moved to St. Petersburg Florida in 1973 and was very active in Mobile Park where she lived serving several years as Sunshine Lady and on the Board of Directors for the Tenants Association. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in St. Petersburg. She is Survived by a nephew Billy Dickson and wife Vicki of Jacks Creek Tennessee. She also leaves several other nieces and nephews in Tennessee.
