Dorothy Morton

She was born and reared in the Cave Springs Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Kodie Odell and Martha Russom Weaver. She graduated Chester County High School in 1952 and graduated West Tennessee Business School. She was married to Kenneth Joe Morton in 1952. They made their home in the Wilson School Community most of their married life. Mrs. Morton worked for the State of Tennessee as a Placement Officer for Tennessee Job Services, where she had worked for 32 years and retired in 1999. She had made her home at Holiday since her retirement. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Joe Morton of Henderson; a son, Gary Morton and wife Melanie of Adamsville; a daughter, Sherry Kay Morton of Holiday, TN; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Rowland of Henderson, Georgia Smith of Selmer and Jurilee Rouse of Henderson. She was preceded in death by two brothers; Jessie Weaver and Randal Weaver.
