Dorothy Belle King Majors died March 3, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Jackson.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking for family and friends. She was also known for her love of animals. She was a faithful servant for many years at the Church of Christ in Bolivar.
She was predeceased by her mother, Nettie Curry, father, O'Neal King, stepfather, Jim Curry and a great granddaughter, Rachel Majors. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, William Gaylord Majors. She is also survived by two children, Ann Brown (George) and Bill Majors.
She was affectionately known by her seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren as 'Maw' or 'Maw Maw'. Surviving grandchildren are Tony Brown (Tammie), Todd Brown (Tammy), Dana Childer (Terry), Doug Majors, Julie Brown, Amy Winstead (Stan), and Liz Vaughan (Steve). Surviving great grandchildren are Jennifer, Kristie (Josh), Justin, Kayla, Dylan, Kelly, Nathan, Petyon, Matthew, Chase, Justin, Hunter and Autumn.
Pallbearers to serve are Tony Brown, Todd Brown, Stan Winstead, Steve Vaughan, Justin Vaughan and Jimmy Tranum.
