Dorothy Jean MacArthur

Dorothy Jean MacArthur was born August 16, 1931 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Selvin and Ruby McDaniel Garrison.She was united in marriage to William A. "Bill" MacArthur on July 8, 1960. Mr. MacArthur preceded her in death on June 5, 2007.Mrs. MacArthur retired from the banking business after 30 years, having worked at Bank of Adamsville and Community South. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee.She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.Mrs. MacArthur departed this life on February 1, 2013 in Dyersburg, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 5 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by a son, Jim MacArthur and wife Amanda of Newbern, TN; two granddaughters, Blakely and Alexa MacArthur both of Newbern, TN; a sister, Donna Smith of Stantonville, TN; niece, Penny Ashe of Selmer, TN.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. MacArthur was preceded in death by nephew, Tony Smith.
