Dorothy Kay Kiddy, passed away on April 24, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on March 25, 1965, in Hardin County, Tennessee. Dorothy was known for her kind-hearted nature and an infectious spirit that brought joy to those around her.
Throughout her life, Kay embraced lots of interests and hobbies. She had a profound love for dancing and was particularly fond of dogs, which brought her endless happiness. Her fondness for entertainment shone brightly as she enjoyed watching "Walker Texas Ranger" and various game shows. She found great delight in playing games with friends and playing games on her iPad, a pastime that allowed her to forge many joyful memories.
Kay's love for life was exemplified in her adventurous spirit; she cherished the memory of a trip she took last year where she found joy in encountering dolphins. She radiated positivity and kindness, traits that endeared her to family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. As a devoted Christian, her faith played a big role in her life, guiding her actions and serving as the foundation of her character.
Kay is survived by her siblings and foster sisters: James Kiddy, Faye Johnson, Danny Kiddy, Betty Kiddy, Sandra Bass, and Brenda Scott. She also leaves behind her dear friend, Jerry Fenwick, and the friends at MHDS who have been a significant part of her journey.
Kay is preceded in death by her foster parents, Era and Odell Whitman; her biological parents Frank and Eda Bell Jones Kiddy.
