Dorothy Irvinwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 27, 1934 the daughter of the late Joe Delaware and Susie Josephine Neill Young.On March 14, 1956 she was united in marriage to L.D. Irvin, who survives.Mrs. Irvin worked at Parris Manufacturing and Brown Shoe Factory before retiring. She was a member of the White Home Demonstration Club, the Sunshine Ladies Group, and Plummers Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, were she was very active in the church. Mrs. Irvin enjoyed singing, playing guitar, quilting, and needlepoint work of all types. Mrs. Irvin departed this life on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the age of 73 years, 11 months, 22 days.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Irvin is survived by a son, Danny Joe Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee; 4 daughters: Teresa Thorne, Rhonda Kay Franks, Deanne Ford, and Kim Jerrolds all of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother: J.D. Young of Savannah, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren: Andrea Casteel, Candace Weirich, Billy Thorne, Justin Franks, Wade Ford, Kristie Pinson, D. J. Irvin, Abby Jerrolds, and Joshua Jerrolds; 5 great-grandchildren: Jacob Casteel, Ayden Weirich, Austin Weaver, Micheal Franks, and Matthew Franks.
