Dorothy Virginia Hunt

Dorothy Virginia Nutt Hunt of Waynesboro, TN was born January 24, 1930 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Fred Roy and Monetta Dee Kelley Nutt. She was united in marriage to Craig Vaughn Hunt on March 1, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 1995.
Mrs. Hunt was a retired clerk at Helton's Drugs and was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Mrs. Hunt departed this life on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 3 Months, 10 Days.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Hunt Pigg of Clifton, TN, Faye Hunt Beauchamp and husband, Ken of Kingston, TN; seven grandchildren, Leigh , Craig , Brooks , April , Erin , Hayden , Ian ; three great-grandchildren, Baker , Jaxon , Parker ; a sister, Marion Nutt Whitfield of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Nutt, T. J. Nutt, Junior Nutt; a sister, Nita Nutt Snow.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Ken Beauchamp, Craig Beauchamp, Brooks Beauchamp, Hayden Brewer, Reuben Bryant, Jamie Andrews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Waynesboro Church of Christ.
