Dorothy Elizabeth Davis East

Dorothy Elizabeth Davis East 04/10/1926 - 02/27/2023, 96 yrs. old. 

Mrs. East, a long-term resident of Grand Valley Lakes, in Saulsbury, TN, passed away after a brief illness. 

She was born in Rosebud, Arkansas and after marriage lived in Ellendale, TN before settling in Saulsbury with her family. 

Mrs. East is preceded in death by both parents, 4 sisters and a brother; her husband of 68 years Kenneth East Sr., a son, Kenneth East, Jr., and her daughter, Deborah Dolan. 

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Durdin (Randy), a daughter in law, Judy East, her sister June S (Ricky), and a brother, Donald. She had 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren, and 3 more on the way. 

Ms. Dorothy was active in many garden clubs over the years. She was also an avid bird watcher and she enjoyed doing crafts, especially painting and making ceramics. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, and the Grand Valley Ladies Club. Mrs. East, alongside her sister Neva, was instrumental in starting and developing the Grand Valley Lakes Cemetery. She loved traveling and spending time with her family. Mrs. Dorothy was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church.
