Mrs. Crump died Sunday, Nov. 18 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was the widow of Thomas Eugene Crump, Jr. who died on Feb. 19, 1978. She worked at Western Mental Health Institute for 13 years and at Brint's Nursing Home, retiring in 1984. She was born on April 18, 1922, daughter of the late Ermon and Carrie Lavern Long Clifft and lived all of her life here. Mrs. Crump was a member of Bolivar First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Tennyson of Bolivar; three sons, William Ermon Crump of Bolivar, Lyndal E. Crump of Hickory Withe and Joe Crump of Selmer; five brothers, Muesel Clifft of Whiteville, Robert, Richard and Jerry Clifft, all of Bolivar and Fred Clifft of Whiteville; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and one step great grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Crump, two sisters, Frances Bomar and Peggy Pattat and two brothers, Jack and James Clifft.
