Dorothy Bridges

DOROTHY MCAULEY PUSSER BRIDGESwas born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on November 27, 1922 the daughter of the late Marion and Mandy Jane Durham Stanfield.She was united in marriage to Henry McAuley, who preceded her in death and later she was united in marriage to Jewell Pusser, who also preceded her in death. On April 8, 1983 she was united in marriage to William Russell Bridges, who preceded her in death on October 28, 2002.Mrs. Bridges retired from Garan Manufacturing. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, her dogs and reading her bible. Mrs. Bridges was a giving person and a hard worker. She departed this life on September 16, 2007 at the McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 20 days.Mrs. Bridges is survived by 2 sons, Graylin J. Pusser and his wife Alice of Adamsville, Tennessee and David Slyvester McAuley and his wife Alma Ruth of Iuka, Mississippi.4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildMrs. Bridges was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Eugene and Wayne and 2 infant sons and 7 siblings, Ottis, Horace, Joyce, Alma, Dellar, Maurine and Josaphine.
