Dorothy Louise Bodiford

Dorothy Louise Hines Bodiford of Selmer was born on January 5, 1921, in McNairy County, to the late James Arlie and Mary Drullah Cox Hines. She was united in marriage to Edward Paul Bodiford who preceded her in death on October 7, 1992. Mrs. Bodiford was a retired Teacher and Librarian, having taught in Marvell, Arkansas, prior to returning to McNairy County. She was the first Librarian at McNairy Central High School for 19 years beginning in 1969. She was a member of Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer and loved gardening and cooking. She passed from this life on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at McNairy Regional Hospital at the age of 87 Years, 10 Months, and 6 Days.Survivors are two daughters, Paulette Guest and husband Cletis of Selmer and Sandra Burcham and husband Robert of Liberty, Missouri; two sons, Larry Bodiford and wife Betty of Selmer and Rickey Bodiford and wife Andrea of Port Allen, Louisiana.12 Grandchildren and 22 Great GrandchildrenA host of other relatives and friends.Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Bodiford was also preceded in death by two sons Robby and Eldon Bodiford.
