DOROTHA SEXTON BRYANT



Henderson, TN: Dorotha Juanita Littlefield Sexton Bryant, age 92 passed away January 12, 2013 at her home near Henderson.



Mrs. Bryant was born in Apache, Ok the daughter of the late Bascomb Hardeman and Nancy Charlotte Buffington Littlefield. She graduated from Broxton High School in 1939 and graduated from Hughes Beauty Academy in Tulsa in 1954. She married George Wilbur Sexton in 1940 and they were married for fifty eight years. Mrs. Bryant was a beautician having shops in Tulsa, OK and Pea Ridge, AR. Mr. Sexton died in 1998. She later married Gus Hollis Bryant in 2001. They made their home in Bentonville, AR until his death in 2009. She had made her home in Henderson with her granddaughter Dana Blackwelder since August 2009. She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ.



Mrs. Bryant is survived by three granddaughers, Dana Moreland Blackwelder, Lori Moreland Holt, and Yvette Sexton Klein and two grandsons, Mark Moreland, and Gordon Lee Sexton; five great grandsons, Matthew Holt, Alex Blackwelder, Samuel Holt, Keegan Klein and Aiden Sexton and five great grand-daughters, Beata Blackwelder, Sarah Holt, Hannah Holt, Kayla Sexton, Bethany Sexton; and two sisters, Faye Wilson of Tulare, CA and Retha Willis of Chouteau, OK.



She was also preceded in death by a son Gordon Lee Sexton in 2007 and a daughter Berta Moreland in 2008 and five sisters; Geneva Metzger, Lee Ellen Riddles, Rose Littlefield, Billie Dove Landers, and Gladys Sellers.



Crypt-side committal services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK with Mark Blackwelder officiating.



The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday.
