Doris Brooks Smith

Doris Brooks Smith gained her wings on December 10, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Cord Brooks and Mamie Ray Brooks.

Mrs. Smith was born on July 8, 1938 in Selmer, TN. She was 76 years and 5 months old. She retired from Walmart in Selmer and had also driven a school bus for the McNairy County School System for 8 years. She was Baptist.

She is survived by a son, Robert Glen Gray of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Margaret Gray McClain of Selmer, TN, Helen Gray Thacker of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Brandi Lyn Gray of Selmer, TN, Chad McClain of Selmer, TN, Robert Heath II of Adamsville, TN; four great grandchildren, Arianna Heath of Savannah, TN, Wesson Heath of Savannah, TN, Carolina McClain of Orlando, FL, Molly McClain of Orlando, FL; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Gray; a son, Michael Wayne Gray; a grandchild, Christopher Gene Heath; two brothers, Tom Brooks, Ray Brooks; and a sister, Martha Brooks Carroll.

A Graveside Service will be held on December 20, 2014, 1:00 PM, at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Selmer with Sister Janice Hooper officiating.
