Doris Geneva Franks Shelby
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Clarence and Burna Duff Franks.
Doris lived all her life in the Hardin and McNairy County area. She was a homemaker and also had worked as a store clerk. Doris loved her dogs, collecting dolls and stuff animals. Spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
She departed this life on Friday, November 5, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 30 days.
Doris is survived by her children, Johnathan Dean Shelby, Samantha Doris Shelby, Jeffrey Dean Shelby, and Joseph Daniel Shelby, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sammy Jo Shelby, Whitney Renea Shelby, Brittany Marie Shelby, Dustin Sumner Dean Shelby, John Cody Shelby, and Lucas McCasland; great grandchildren, Elijah Clevenger and Dallas Mark Hill; and her companion, Robert Balash of Stantonville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Diane Shelby and one brother, Leo Franks.
