Doris McDonald, 48, departed this life Sunday morning, January 17, 2021 in Collierville.
She was born Thursday, March 2, 1972, in Selmer, daughter of the late James Horace McDonald and Madie Lou Hannis McDonald and lived her life here in the county. She worked as a CNA at several nursing homes in McNairy and Hardeman Counties and also at Spectrum in Selmer prior to becoming disabled. She was a member of Porters Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelby McDonald, whom she lived her life around, enjoying spending every minute she could with her; a brother, Roger McDonald (Tammy) of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Wade and Terry Lynn McDonald. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org/donate) or the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).
The family will have a private family graveside service for Ms. McDonald.
