DORIS ANN ARNOLD HARRIS
Medon, TN: Doris Ann Arnold Harris age 87, passed away February 16, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born September 3, 1934 in Medon, TN, the daughter of the late Eugene and Minnie Cisco Arnold. She grew up in Medon and attended High School at Malesus. She married Gordon Harris on June 18, 1950. The newlyweds moved to Memphis and had four children. In 1993, Doris and Gordon returned to Medon to retire.
Mr. Harris preceded her in death on October 9, 2019 after sixty-nine years of marriage.
She was a member of the Clover Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harris is survived by two sons, Jeff Harris (Dana) of Medon and Steve Harris (Marlyce) of Medina; a daughter, Karen Sorrell (Dwayne)Arlington, TN; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Harris of Jackson; 10 grandchildren, David (Mandy) Harris, Brian (Laura) Harris, Jeremy (Lindsey) Harris, Angela (Bryan) Ross, Joey (Joanna) Goforth, Sabrina (Peyton) Kelly, Andrew (fiancée Rebecca Briggs and son Landon) Harris, Ashley (Drew) Freeman, Austin (Victoria) Harris and Heath Harris; 25 great grandchildren, Alicia, Dallas, Brittany, Dalton, Preston and Clark, Quentin, Bailey, Luke Presley, Ella, Seth, Lily, Charlie, Austin, Brandon, Cameron, Carson, Ryder, Rory, Zoe, Emma and Harper.; four great-great grandchildren, Ryder, Brock, Hunter, and Aspen; three brothers, Sammie Arnold (Doris) of Halls, TN, Jimmy Arnold (Mary Louise) of Medon, TN and Harold Arnold of Scottsboro, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gordon Harris; a son, Jerry Harris; brothers, Harry, Willie Lee, J.D., Earl, Donald and Thomas Arnold; and sisters, Opal Scott and Inez Dawson.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday, February 19th at Clover Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Skelton officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Creek Cemetery at Medon, TN.
The family will receive friends at Clover Creek Baptist Church 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Saturday.
