Doris Jackson Day was born on October 09, 1934, and reared near Walnut, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Maggie Parlee Henson Jackson.She graduated from Chalybeate High School in 1952. She also graduated from Freed Hardeman College. She worked as secretary to the Dean of Freed Hardeman College where she married Everett Day, Jr. They made there home in Memphis for 43 years where she worked as executive secretary with Schumacher Mortgage Company where she later retired. They moved to Henderson in 1999. She was an active member of the Freed Hardeman Associates. She was also a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.She is survived by her husband Everett Day, Jr. of Henderson, a son Tommy Day and wife Melissa of Memphis, a daughter Brenda Day Hall and husband Ken of Louisville Ky, a foster daughter Nancy Cooper of Murfreesboro. Five grandsons and one granddaughter.
