Dorene Coffey was born on July 4, 1941 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Harold Ray Kretchmar and Betty Gene Crider Kretchmar.
On October 6, 2020, she was united in marriage to Lonnie Ray Coffey, who survives.
Mrs. Coffey earned a master's degree in Business Administration and taught Computer Science at Thomas More College (now Thomas More University) for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, shopping, fishing, going to plays, and road trips. She liked to watch Kentucky Basketball, Oklahoma Football, and old westerns on tv. Dorene was of the Catholic faith.
Dorene Coffey departed this life on April 24, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 20 days.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Ray Coffey of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, James Steven Stall of Whitesboro, Texas and Kyle Matthew Stall of Brandon, Florida; daughter, Lisa Dawn Chapman of Park Hills, Kentucky; brother, Ben Kretchmar of Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Sawyer of Maryville, Tennessee, Wyatt Stall of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Matthew Stall of Cincinnati, Ohio; and great granddaughter, Madelyn Riley of Maryville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Dorene was preceded in death by her sisters, Rae Jean McCall and Charlene Wood.
