Donnie Frazier was born on March 21, 1946 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Jay Vester and Sally Edna Perry Frazier.
Donnie grew up on a farm in Gillis Mills as the baby of 12 children. His first job was working on Zell Kings Strawberry Farm in Lutts, Tennessee. He later worked at Hassell & Hughes Lumber Company and Brown Shoe Company. In 1976, he found his passion as a school bus driver. He loved working with the kids. During this time, he also ran an auto garage at the Gillis Mills store. After 32 years, he retired and began selling at the Crump Flea Market. Donnie enjoyed spending time outdoors and gardening. He loved being involved in Amish community and assisting them with various needs.
Donnie Frazier departed this life peacefully at his home on July 2, 2024 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 3 months, and 11 days.
He is survived by his daughters, Trena Schmidt and her husband Michael of Rapid City, South Dakota and Michelle Loux of Jackson, Tennessee; brother, Jerry Frazier of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Alina Loux of Jackson, Tennessee and Shyanne Schmidt and Savanna Schmidt, both of Rapid City, South Dakota; and great granddaughter, Leah Kelley of Rapid City, South Dakota.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his siblings, James Eldridge "Curly" Frazier, J.W. Frazier, Ralph Frazier, Vernon Frazier, Lester Dee Frazier, Beatrice Nix, Bernice Evon Hanson, Essie Faye Frazier Belcher,Emma Lou Myrkle, and Barbara Futrell.
