Services for Donald R. Dickey, age 61, of Collinwood will be Monday, April 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Josh Stults officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of arrangements.A native of Wayne County, Donnie was born April 6, 1949 a son of Pauline Odle Buff who survives of Collinwood and the late James Dickey. Mr. Dickey departed this life Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Wayne Medical Center at the age of 61 Years, 11 Days. In addition to his father, Mr. Dickey was preceded in death by a son, Brian Dickey; a brother, Ronnie Dickey; and a sister, Linda Dickey. He was united in marriage to Wanda Staggs on October 6, 1975. Mr. Dickey was a disabled Viet-Nam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and a member of the Church of Christ.Other than his mother Pauline, he is survived by his wife Wanda Dickey of Collinwood, TN; daughter, Tracy Gable and husband Tim of King George, VA; five grandchildren, Caleb Dickey, Bradley Dickey, Braden Dickey, Phillip Gable, and Jessica Gable; brother, Terry Dickey of Waynesboro, TN;sister-in-law, Cindy Kelly and husband Andy of Waynesboro, TN; brother-in-law, Hershel Staggs of Huntsville, AL
