Huntingdon, TN: Donna Kay Barnes age 61 passed away May 5, 2017 at her home.
She was born October 10, 1955 in Jackson, TN and grew up in Madison County, the daughter of the late Richard Thomas and Annie Louise Mealer Barnes. She had worked in the food-service industry all of her working career, having worked at Wal-Mart and the Waffle House. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon.
She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Ann Newell of Jackson, Kathy Thornton and husband John of Columbia, KY and Patricia Ross of Huntingdon; six grandchildren; three sisters, Judy Staggs of Knoxville, Gladys Smallwood of Paducah, KY and Elizabeth Stanfill of Huntingdon, and one brother, Thomas Barnes of Huntingdon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carolyn Sue Weatherington and a brother, William Ray Barnes.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with burial in Bethesda Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday and beginning at 11:00 AM until service time Sunday.
