Donald K. Jones was born in Ashland, Kentucky on May 30, 1940, the son of the late William and Opal Jones. On June 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Peterman, who survives. Donald departed this life on April 30, 2019 at the age of 78 years and 11 months.
Donald served his country in the United States Army. In his lifetime, Donald worked for Carl Subler Trucking and lived in Michie, Tennessee. He loved animals.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mary, Donald is survived by his sons, Eddie Jones and Brian Jones of Kentucky; daughter, Debby Long of Michie, Tennessee; brother, Albert Jones of Akron, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Phyllis Stewart.
No services will be held.
