Donald Ray Gillham of Reagan, Tennessee, was born on April 15, 1939, to the late Winfred Foster Gillham and Connie Willis Gillham. He was a 1958 graduate of Adamsville High School. Mr. Gillham was a former policeman and corrections officer and retired after 26 years with Service Farm Equipment, Research, and Engineering Center in Hinsdale, Illinois (J. I. Case Co.). He attended Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Lexington.
Mr. Gillham died on Sunday, September 16, 2007, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 68 years, 5 months, and 1 day.
Survivors are his wife Freda Brasher Gillham of Reagan; son David Gillham and wife Cindy of Adamsville; stepmother Mary Gillham of Selmer; three sisters, Audrey Carroll of Sparta, Illinois, Loree Kernodle of Bethel Springs, and Vada Waller of Stantonville; step-granddaughter Kelly Pearson of Adamsville; nieces Annette Rickman, Joyce Monroe, and Wanda Allen; nephews Harold Carroll, Kenneth Carroll, Eddie Carroll, John Charles Carroll, and Alan Waller. A host of other relatives and friends.
Other than his parents, Mr. Gillham was also preceded in death by a brother Arlon Lynn Gillham, his step-grandson Jonathon Pearson, and nephew Joe Neal Carroll.
