Graveside services for Dr. Donald Ray Fowler, 74, of Waynesboro, TN, will be Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Prater’s Chapel Cemetery, Clifton, TN with Benjamin Gustafson and David Turley officiating and Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge. He died at his home Thursday, November 16, 2006.
Dr. Fowler, a native of Ennis, Montana, was a retired physician of Clifton Medical Clinic, was a member of the American Osteopathic Association, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. He was a son of the late Roy William and Edith Adell Potter Fowler.
Dr. Fowler had lived in Butte, Montana; Lewisburg, W. Virginia; Grand Forks, North Dakota; Hettinger, North Dakota; and Clifton, Tennessee and had worked with the Milwaukee Road Railroad and Minkota Power.
He was a great historian—especially of U. S. History, was an avid reader, loved to collect antiques and travel.
