Donald Cavanaugh

DONALD CAVANAUGHwas born in Chicago, Illinois on February 14, 1933 the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn Smith Cavanaugh.On June 24, 1967 he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy June Keel, who survives.Mr. Cavanaugh was a retired Amtrak Supervisor. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Cavanaugh was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a member of Brotherhood of Railway Clerks in Chicago, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and reading.Mr. Cavanaugh departed this life on June 28, 2007 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 14 days.Other than his wife, Dorothy of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 3 daughters, Kathy Warren of Carol Stream, Illinois, Patty Bradley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Sharon Franks of Savannah, Tennessee.7 grandchildren, Brandon Franks, Melissa George, Heather Snell, Jennifer Williams, Susanne Gray, Nicole Hund and Ashley Warren.2 great-grandchildren, Dominick George and Collin George.Mr. Cavanaugh was also preceded in death by one sister, Dot and 2 brothers, Bill and George.
