Don Wright

Don Wright departed this life on Friday, July 29, 2022, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 21 days. He was born in Townley, Alabama, on August 8, 1938, the son of the late Frank and Jessie Hall Wright.

Don was self-employed as a boat mechanic and was a member of Pickwick Church of Christ.

He is survived by his children, DeShawn Martin and her husband Greg of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee, Darren Wright and his wife Boots of Savannah, Tennessee, Duane Wright and his wife Becky of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee, and Donna Morgan and her husband Jim of Saltillo, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brittany Love, Adam Wright, Nathan Pirtle, Michael Pirtle, Jonathan Pirtle, Angel Pirtle, Myles Martin, Chasitie Wright, and Memori Wright; seven great grandchildren, siblings, Dolly Atkins, Ronald Wright, Charles Wright, Polly Jordan, and Judy Domer, all of Alabama; mother of his children, Dorothy Williams of Counce, Tennessee; and loving caregiver, Shirl Harrison of Michie, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Wright, John Wright, Steve Wright, Arnold Wright, Lou Reamsma, Mae Mobly, Pauline Porter, and Jim Wright.
