Mr. Don Stallings, age 68 of Whiteville, passed from this life Wednesday evening, May 13, 2009 at his home.He was born December 2, 1940 in Bolivar, TN to the late M. L. and Lula Pearl Wheeler Stallings. He married Lillian Faye Sisco, who survives, August 19, 1958. He graduated with the 1958 graduating class of Bolivar Central High School and owned and operated Stallings Dirt Work, a backhoe and bulldozer service provider. He also worked for Vanderheyden Construction Company and for Wilson Well, retiring in 2003. He provided the initial dirt work on the present Lion's Club baseball field. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville.In addition to his wife, he leaves as his survivors a daughter, Kristi Doyle of Whiteville; two brothers, Rob Stallings of Bolivar and Martin Stallings of Cloverport; three grandchildren, Lance Doyle and Brandi Doyle, both of Whiteville, and Jim Stallings of Little Rock, AR; four great-grandchildren, Jacie, Jared, and Jacob, and one on the way; and a daughter-in-law, Teri Stallings of Little Rock, AR.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joey Stallings.
